‘Flushable’ wipes don’t pass test, and 39% flush what they shouldn’t

WRc research on the success of DERAGGER could prove critical as the UK’s BBC News reports on the impact of wet wipes on the sewage network.  New research has found that NO ‘flushable’ wet wipes so far tested in the UK manage to pass the water industry tests!

Here at DERAGGER, we agree that only the ‘3 P’s’ should be flushed, however this problem has been going on for years, and no matter how much is done to educate the public (and no matter how ‘flushable’ some wipes are), some people are always going to flush things they shouldn’t down the toilet.  In fact, another research study just released says 39% of women admit flushing things they shouldn’t!

Thankfully our DERAGGER doesn’t discriminate. It will keep pumps running clean no matter what is flushed.  It is a low cost, proven way to prevent pump ragging, which costs Municipalities millions of dollars to deal with.  And it’s proven to reduce energy consumption and extend asset life as well!
